Garage de la Gare Genoud & Fils SA (Remaufens)

Garage Genoud was founded in 1978 by Gérard and Suzanne, and was mainly devoted to two-wheelers and garden machinery, with Gérard running the workshop and Suzanne doing the invoicing and bookkeeping.

From 1978 to 1982 Gérard and Suzanne operated a workshop in Epalinges. In October 1983, the garage moved to new premises in Remaufens, which became Garage de la gare. From the beginning of the Garage's operations in Remaufens, Gérard became Suzuki's agent for cars, while Suzanne continued to handle invoicing and accounting. In 1992 Thierry, the eldest son, joined the family garage, mainly looking after the two-wheel department. In 1994, Didier, the youngest son, joined the family garage, taking charge of the car department, leaving his father Gérard with the garden machinery department and his brother with the two-wheeler department. Today Audrey, Didier's wife, joins the family business and is in charge of administration and invoicing for car sales. In over 40 years of existence, the garage has gone from strength to strength, and today is a real reference in the region.
