Separate collection, recycling or disposal of used tires is ecologically beneficial. Tires that are still in excellent condition can be fitted with a new tread (retreading). This conserves resources and reduces the environmental impact of manufacturing. Tires that are not fit for use can be incinerated in a cement plant using the energy they contain, thus saving large quantities of fossil fuels. Mechanical processes can be used to recover steel and rubber from scrap tires, which can then be reused as raw materials for manufacturing products. Since January 1, 2000, scrap tires may no longer be landfilled.

The service offered by PM Ecorecycling Sagl consists in building a solid bridge between waste disposal companies and/or tire regenerators with garage owners and scrapers.

The best solutions currently available for the disposal of used disposable tires are incineration in cement plants and mechanical treatment followed by direct recycling of the materials contained in the intermediate products obtained.

The aim of our company is to ensure nationwide collection and environmentally sound disposal, to promote the retreading of used tires as the most environmentally friendly recycling solution, to ensure the environmental compatibility of processes and forms of use for direct recycling.

Improper storage and disposal of large quantities of used tires poses a serious threat to the environment. Therefore, the disposal of tires should only be carried out by authorized companies such as PM Ecorecycling Sagl. In addition, tires may only be exported if they have a tread that complies with Swiss regulations or if they are sent abroad for processing for recycling or environmentally safe disposal. The recovery and financing solution introduced by part of the automotive sector should be extended to the entire national territory and adapted as much as possible to the needs of customers.
