Fleury & Bessire SA (Courroux)

The founder, Joseph Fleury, was born on January 8, 1933 in the village of Courcelon. The second of 10 siblings, he was a farmer at heart, with a love of life and people, and was actively involved in farm work and barnstorming throughout the Jura.

In 1963, the year of major decisions, the construction of the garage and the family home on the present site, marriage and the birth of Joseph's first child.

As farming became more mechanized, Joseph developed a business in agricultural machinery and tractors. He represents and sells the "International-McCormick" tractors, as well as the "Schlüchter", large machines designed more for forestry work than for work in the fields. Combines and a full range of haymaking machines are also part of his sales program.

In 1984, the sales and repair sector was taken over by Pierre-Alain Bessire (Joseph's son-in-law) and Rémy Fleury (Joseph's son), with Christine Bessire-Fleury (Joseph's daughter, Pierre-Alain's wife and Rémy's sister) providing secretarial and accounting services. The second generation is busy making this family heritage bear fruit, with the ever-precious and attentive help of the "patriarch".

Two years later, an annex was added to the existing building. This housed an office and part of the spare parts stock.

In 1989, under the impetus of Joseph Fleury, the company had the advantage of becoming an importer for Switzerland of "Fristein" articulated loaders, later to become "Gehlmax".

1991 saw the creation of the limited company "Fleury & Bessire SA", bringing together the three partners, Joseph Fleury, Pierre-Alain Bessire and Rémy Fleury.

Early May 2000, second conversion of existing premises.

On May 21, 2000, the company was saddened to lose its founder, Joseph Fleury, who died of a cerebral hemorrhage at the age of 67.

In 2003, the company underwent a third transformation, with the construction of a showroom annexed to the existing building, as well as a wash bay for workshop and customer use. Expansion of the hydraulic hose manufacturing sector.

March 2004, the company celebrates its 20th anniversary by inviting customers to the official inauguration of its current premises.
