OUR HISTORY FROM THEN UNTIL TODAY

1974 On December 20, 1974, Bruno Baschnagel founded the City Garage at Landstrasse 108 in Wettingen.

1975 Start with the FIAT main agency for the districts of Baden and Zurzach as well as a car rental with 4 delivery vans and 8 passenger cars.

1982 the brand LANCIA followed, also as main agency, into the City Garage.

1983 the neighboring property, Landstrasse 112, was added to City Garage and converted into a spacious showroom, spare parts and warehouse.

1989 the completely rebuilt workshop, offices and a modern customer reception area were put into operation.

1992 Takeover of the ALFA ROMEO agency in Baden-Dättwil.

1994 Handover of the ALFA ROMEO A representation and simultaneous opening of the new ALFA ROMEO showroom in Wettingen.

1994 City Garage specializes exclusively in FIAT, ALFA ROMEO and LANCIA.

1998 Expansion of the sales area to the districts of Baden, Brugg, Bremgarten, Zurzach and Lenzburg and delivery of new cars and spare parts to the 8 local agencies in this region.

2000 Demolition of the oldest gas station in the region and installation of a modern FIAT showroom.

2005 Opening of the branch in Windisch for the brands ALFA ROMEO, FIAT and LANCIA. In the same year, City Garage celebrates its 30th anniversary.

2007 Expansion and fundamental renovation of the ALFA ROMEO showroom.

2011 Takeover of the JEEP representation in connection with the merger of Chrysler and LANCIA. Thus, the City Garage is an important competence center for all brands from the FIAT Group.

2011 Handover of the management to the son Rolf Baschnagel.

2015 Move to Würenlos until the new building in Wettingen is ready for occupancy.

2016 Move into the new building in Wettingen.

2019 Sponsoring of the Curling Team Schwaller (Vice European Champion 2019, Swiss Champion 2020).

2020 Takeover of all business shares by Rolf Baschnagel.
