History

Steiggarage - the oldest FIAT dealership in Switzerland

Steiggarage was founded in 1931 by Mr. Richter and Mr. Fischer at Steigstrasse in Schaffhausen. Always with the aim to be a small but high quality garage. Already at that time the Steiggarage was the official and therefore oldest FIAT and Studebaker representative in the Schaffhausen area. In 1964 Mr. G. Von OW, as a longtime employee, took over the garage and continued it with the same passion until 1990. In that year, Mr. H.Schwyter, who had been employed since his apprenticeship in 1964, took over the Steiggarage and, together with his wife, continued to run it as a personal and customer-friendly garage. From June 2014, Mr. L.Jaquet, who has also been employed since his apprenticeship (2007), continues to run the garage and moved it to Zelgstrasse in Beringen.

Today, as since the beginning, the Steiggarage is a small, modern and customer-oriented garage, which always has the goal to deliver high quality work and to be close to the customer.
