Autocosmo SA (Lugano)

When we founded the garage in 1986, the significance of the brand name that had accompanied the journey of Mercedes-Benz cars was well known to us. That is why we wanted to assign our garage a name that would draw attention not only to the kind of work we would do; but also to the kind of cars we would represent. Hence the name "Autocosmo," which encapsulates these two fundamental aspects.

Although the physical universe is composed of thousands of stars, the word cosmos implied that what was coming into existence was something that would have an ordered and independent life in relation to its surroundings, while nonetheless not wanting to claim the title of sole representatives of the "Mercedes-Benz" star.

Just as our workshop owes its existence to the commitment and effort put forth by all who work in it, so the universe owes its wonderful order not to pure chance, but to a Creator who designed and organized everything that exists in it.
