History In 1978 Ernst Scheidegger started his own business as a car electrician in Brunnen. Starting in his father's hut, from whom he was able to learn a great deal of manual knowledge as a child, he remained true to his passion for sporty classic cars and later opened a larger garage in Ibach.

In 2006, Ernst Scheidegger fulfilled his lifelong dream by building the garage at the current location in Brunnen. In addition to Ernst Scheidegger, Johannes Kastner, a classic car enthusiast, was also keen to ensure that the garage would continue to provide the same quality of service in the long term. In Salzburg, Johannes Kastner met the car mechanic Herbert Auernig and realized that he was just as passionate about the craft of classic cars.

In 2015, Ernst Scheidegger sold the company and Classic Car Garage Scheidegger & Auernig AG was founded. Herbert Auernig, an Austrian, moved his residence to Switzerland and took up his work as managing director. Ernst Scheidegger remains with the company and is still active in a supporting capacity.
