The family business was founded in 1963 by Paul Wälti Senior at Mädriserstrasse in Mels. With the British Leyland vehicles Austin, Morris and Landrover the business grew steadily. Since 1979, already at the beginning, we specialized in the Subaru brand. As the space became more and more limited, it was decided to build a new building. In 1984 the time had come and the company was able to move into the new, modern equipped building at the Zeughausstrasse.

In 1994, another mainstay was established with the newly launched Korean brand Kia.

In 1999, Paul Wälti Senior handed over the business to his son Ernst Wälti, who continues to run it in the 2nd generation with the support of his sister Rita Hermann.

In 2008 the 3rd generation joined the family business with Maria Loop-Bless.

In 2015 the product range is completed with small commercial vehicles of the new brand DFSK.

Our staff is continuously trained through various specialized courses. With the training to become a high-voltage technician, we are also moving into the future with electromobility in line with the times.
