In 1972, Jean-Pierre Python became the owner of Raus SA, Villars-sur-Glâne, a company founded in 1939.

Today, several companies are part of the Group, including Raus SA and Niki SA. The Python Group's activities are highly diversified: tractors and agricultural machinery, a construction and real estate department, a garage-body shop for the trade, commercial vehicle and car maintenance, etc.

The Villars-sur-Glâne premises soon became insufficient, and the group moved to the Rosé industrial estate in 1976.
