Tarcisio Pasta SA, (Balerna)

The history of the Tarcisio Pasta Group constitutes one of the most significant entrepreneurial stories in Ticino for tenacity and family continuity. We can start from the origins.

In 1946 Giuseppe and Ernesta Pasta gave birth to Tarcisio, the third of their six children. Growing up in Vacallo, Tarcisio showed a keen interest in motors from an early age and, with his brothers, began putting together "homemade" scooters and go karts, all made from elements he managed to scrape together and tried out on the streets of the village. After mechanical training and being recognized as the best apprentice in Ticino that year, Tarcisio was hired as a mechanic; but in 1968, with great entrepreneurial spirit, he founded his first company by taking over a small garage in Balerna, on Via San Gottardo, still the historic headquarters of the Tarcisio Pasta SA Group.

In just a few years Garage Tarcisio Pasta SA acquired solidity, credibility and esteem. In 1981 an exclusive showcase for British cars was designed and built. The next step came in 1993 with the creation of the Ford Center in Balerna, the Sprintcar workshop on Via Sottobisio, where the "founding" brand of the Premier Automotive Group is represented throughout Mendrisiotto. A few years later, the decision was made to switch Monteceneri with Jaguar and Land Rover, a brand not yet officially represented in this region. In 2000, research began to find a suitable piece of land for the purpose, that is, a highly visible location easily accessible from all over Ticino, and they built what they proudly consider an architectural gem.
